The sign shown is one of 15 signs installed throughout the East Kilbride plant signs grouped in 4 or 5 units, each display group controlled by single remote computer by local office staff.
Some signs were individual single sided signs, some were four signs engineered as a four sided arrangement for viewing in all directions.
Usage was for Staff Shift change over information, and for Product Manufacture and Quality Control vital real time feedback information.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTROL - Plant wide serial cabling with RS 485 long distance, sign multi-drop connection, permitting control of several displays from single remote computer.
