Babcock

This sign mounted on 2 steel poles near the main entrance to Babcock it is used for plant visitor Welcome Messages, and all pertinent general Security and Health & Safety messages for all staff and visitors approaching the site.

BNFL Hunterston

This sign mounted on the security fence near the main entrance to the Hunterston "A" nuclear plant, is used for plant visitor Welcome Messages, and all pertinent general Security and Health & Safety messages for all staff and visitors requiring access.

BNFL Sellafield

The Display shown is one of 11 off identical signs, carefully designed / manufactured to be fully IP65 outdoor compliant, custom designed by Scrimsign for BNFL Sellafield together with custom operational control software, and placed at all site main personnel and vehicle entrances.

Primary use is to display important Health and Safety Plant performance statistics, and in the variable text line, to show any vital emergency or security messages.

BP OIL REFINERY

This exterior Variable Message Sign, located at the Main Plant Entrance, was supplied by Scrimsign into BP Grangemouth in 1996 and has been in continuous use ever since.

It is used for a variety of messages including -

Caledonian MacBrayne

This 2 line variable message / quad flashing lantern, Trunk Road Sign was commissioned for Caledonian MacBrayne at Glendaruel in Argyll, to provide passengers with early warning information, in the event that the Portavadie / Tarbert Ferry 3 miles ahead on difficult single track roads, was seriously delayed or not running at all.

Control of the sign was by remote staff with Ferry Terminal computers, via GSM Radio Modem.

Caledonian MacBrayne

This sign is one of 20 off large identical outdoor Electronic Variable Message signs supplied and installed by Scrimsign, and in daily use now for almost 8 years, for Caledonian MacBrayne Ferry Services for use at their Ferry Terminals throughout the Western islands and Mainland of Scotland.

The local Ferry Terminal Managers personally control the live information displayed on each sign concerning the alterations to schedules and destinations as weather and ferry conditions permit.

Citypoint

This high profile VARIABLE ELECTRONIC MESSAGE DISPLAY is one of two identical signs at each end of this modern call centre overlooking the main M8 Trunk Road through the centre of Glasgow.

A wide variety of clients have used this sign to display messages to large volumes of passing motorists, from Call centre clients with Promotional and Marketing messages, including display of large TIME & DATE information, through to Glasgow Police with important traffic information for motorists.

FMC Lithium

This exterior Variable Message Sign, located outside the Plant office building, it was supplied by Scrimsign to FMC Lithium in 2008.

It is used for a variety of messages including -

Nexus

This giant Skyline visible 22 metre long circular scrolling MOVING MESSAGE DISPLAY was designed / manufactured / and installed by Scrimsign for NEXUS of Newcastle for the dome of their new H.Q. building for the Millenium celebrations on 31st december 1999.

It has successfully been in continual use ever since, being used for a variety of scrolling animated marketing and publicity messages to the General Public including display of Time and Temperature.

Qualter Hall

This British Rail engine driver directional Indicator is one of 50 units designed and manufactured by Scrimsign for use at the track side points to advise drivers of routes.

Several of the 50 Indicators were double sided and each side permitted the direction of the arrow to indicate left, right or straight ahead.

Scottish Power

The Display shown is one of 2 off identical signs, carefully designed / manufactured to be fully IP65 outdoor compliant, designed by Scrimsign for Scottish Power together with custom operational control software.

Primary use is to display important Health and Safety performance statistics, and in the variable text line, to show any vital emergency or security messages.

Shetland Council

This sign is controlled by any one of the ferry captains, live from the bridge of their ferry via their lap-top linked to the sign by GSM Radio Modem.

The sign itself is located on a main highway on the approach road to Lerwick the main ferry port in Shetland, to advise passengers of any delays or alterations to the departure or arrival of any one of the three ferries which operate out of Lerwick.

Important changes to the ferry schedules are highlighted by Amber Flashing beacons at top and bottom of the sign, in addition to the text advising change and reason behind schedule alteration.

Shetland Council

This sign is one of 12 large identical outdoor Electronic Variable Message signs supplied to Shetland Ferry Services for use at their ferry terminals on the mainland and in all their main ferry terminals in all their adjacent Shetland Islands.

The ferry captains personally remotely control the live information displayed on each sign via lap-top computers on the Ferry Control Bridge, concerning any alterations to schedules and destinations as weather and ferry conditions permit.

University of Derby

This ELECTRONIC VARIABLE MESSAGE DISPLAY is one of two identical displays custom designed, manufactured and installed by Scrimsign, onto grassed mounds at the sides of the main entrance to DERBY UNIVERSITY.

University Open Days, Special events, Visitor Welcome and Emergency Messages are input on a single control computer located in the marketing Directors office and immediately transmitted out to each sign via GSM Radio Modems.
